Groomer Al's Trail Report for Nov 12

Hello Skiers and Snowshoers

Our trails received a good snowfall last week approx. 50 to 70 cm. -10c at 9AM and 0C by noon

All the trails except Elk Run have been panned to set the base for tracksetting the next time it snows.

The snowshoers are working at getting the snowshoe trails packed but it is hard breaking trail in deep snow.

The road up is good and parking lot cleared.

If you are skiing on the panned trails there are a few rocks hiding near the surface on Moose loop/Dog Leg loop and Lynx loop above junction shelter.

We are getting a start one month earlier than last year. Will try to bring up miscellaneous items next week

such as firepit, firepit bench, non-member sign in box, donation box and no snowmobiles sign for the parking lot.

Still whitetail deer hunting season until end of November so we could have hunters out and about.

It is definitely a winter wonderland up at the trails and mild weather.

All for now …..Groomer Al
