Groomer Al's Trail Report for Monday Feb 3

I was up to the trails this morning and the news is not good.

Warm weather and rain has totally ice crusted and half-melted the ski tracks.

Parking lot had about 10 CM of water puddled and has now frozen into a slick skating rink.

I would say that snowshoe trails are still usable but ski trails are bad until we receive about 10 cm or more or fresh snow that I can groom and set new ski tracks.

Currently, snowcat's tracks will not chew up existing frozen ski trails as ice crust is very hard.
