GROOMER AL'S TRAIL REPORT FOR TUESDAY DEC 22, 2020

Happy Holidays to all the skiers and snowshoers.

There was 20cm of new snow on the trails

Temperature was -5C and it was very windy.

Trails groomed and trackset except for Elk Run.

The snowmobile has been thru on Elk Run so backcountry skiers should have a firm base to ski on.

Lynx and Eagle loops have suffered high winds and a lot of twigs and pine needles are mixed in with the new snow.

Eagle had approximately a dozen trees down.

Unfortunately I didn't bring my chainsaw today, so trees were simply bulldozed aside.

This made for some lumpy spots along trail. I will tidy things up on my next grooming.

The wet snow also bent a lot of Alders onto Moose loop.
